If you’ve started to look for a shiny new set of taps, you’ve probably realised there are many designs and brands to choose from.

While it can be a confusing avenue, we’ve got some tips for tapware that will be great quality and value for money in the long-term.

Stick to reputable brands. We like Dorf and Caroma to start with. These brands are highly respected for their use of quality materials and the ability to find replacement parts. That means, if you do have an issue, we can fix it.
Avoid no-name brands. It’s simple, if it doesn’t have a brand name, we’re unlikely to find spare parts. This could cost you a whole new tap set if there is an issue (which, let’s be honest, there probably will be).
Not all designs are created equal. Traditional designs have been used for centuries – and there’s a reason for it. They work.
Make sure you’re getting the right product. This is where a quality plumbing supply store comes in handy. They’ll give the right advice, and the right products.
